Framed Florets & Fitting Florets DSP

This is a very easy card layout that you can use with any of your designer series paper that has patterns on the front and back.  This was one of my card kits that were sent to my customers that spent a minimum of $50 in January 2023.

Wild & Sweet Rubber Band Technique

WILD & SWEET TUTORIAL USING THE RUBBER BAND TECHNIQUE

Oh my gosh, when I saw this stamp set in the Annual catalog, I just knew I had to get it!!  The cuteness is what got my heart!  Check out my YouTube video on how I put it together.

Measurements:

  • Basic Gray (card base): 5 ½" x 8½", score at 4¼"
  • Basic Gray (die cut frame) 3½" x 4¾" for die cutting center frame
  • Smoky Slate (layer): 4" x 5¼"
  • Basic White (inside layer) 4" x 5¼"
  • Basic White (embossed layer): 3 ¾" x 5"
  • Basic White: scrap (for stamping Koala)
  • Pear Pizzazz: scrap (for stamping & die cutting out leaf)

Directions:

1.   Score card base (Basic Gray) at 4.25”, fold and burnish. Adhere the Smoky Slate layer 4 x 5.25 to the card base using adhesive of your choice.

2.   Using a blender brush and Crumb Cake ink pad, lightly go over the cardstock to give it some color.

 3.   Take the “D” stamping block and wrap several rubber bands in different directions around the block.  Using Parakeet Party ink pad, stamp the block with rubber bands on it, on the ink pad to pick up ink on the rubber bands.

 4.   Stamp the rubber band block on the cardstock you just ink blended with Crumb Cake ink. Continue stamping the rubber band block into the Parakeet Party ink pad and onto the cardstock.  Just stamp random marks all over the layer.

 5.   Now take that layer (3.75 x 5”) and emboss it using the Timber 3D embossing folder and using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.  Adhere to the card using adhesive of your choice.

6.   Using the Basic Gray layer (3.50” x 4.75”) die cut the frame using the die from the Fabulous Frames Die set.  Adhere to the card using adhesive of your choice.

7.   On the Basic White scrap cardstock, stamp the koala image using Tuxedo Memento black ink.

8.   Color the Koala using the Stampin’ Blend markers. Fussy cut out the Koala. Adhere Koala to the inside of the Basic Gray frame. You can add mini dimensionals if you prefer.

 9.   Die cut the leaf using the Seasonal Labels die set and the scrap of Pear Pizzazz.  Stamp the leaf using the Nature’s Prints stamp set.  I used the fern stamp.  You can stamp the leaf first with Garden Green ink pad before you die cut out.  Using mini dimensionals on the leaf, adhere to the upper left corner of the frame.

10. Adhere the Basic White cardstock 4” x 5.25” to the inside of card.

11.  Stamp greeting of your choice to the inside of card.
