EARTHEN ELEGANCE DSP - EARTHEN TEXTURES BUNDLE

 

Oh yes! I'm rushing the Fall season but I couldn't help myself....lol

Measurements: 

Card Base: Copper Clay 4-1/2" x 6" 
DSP Layer: 4-1/4" x 5-3/4"
Scraps for Die Cutting Leaves (Copper Clay, Moody Mauve, Pretty Peacock, Distressed Gold)
Scrap for Sentiment: Gray Granite
Inside layer: Basic White 4-1/8" x 5-5/8" and Smoky Slate 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" 

Instructions:

1.  This card is larger than an A2 size card.  It measures 4-1/2" x 6".  Cut your card base 6" x 9" and score at 4-1/2".

2.  Cut the DSP at 4-1/4" x 5-3/4".  Using the outline die from the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder, cut out a partial area or you can use a large circle die approx 3-1/2" - 4".  Adhere to the card base with glue of your choice.  See picture below:

3.  Flip the DSP over which shows the Pretty Peacock color.  Keep in mind this piece will not fit exactly in place.  There will be a very small gap but will get covered with the die cut pieces.  

4.  I used the Cross Hatch embossing folder and embossed the cut out piece.  Once embossed glue back into the cut out semi-circle.  

5.  Using the different colors of cardstock, die cut the leaves (approx 7 of them) to cover the outside edge of the  semi-circle and adhere with glue. 

6.  Stamp your sentiment, die cut it out and adhere with dimensionals.   I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze.  Add embellishments of your choice. 

7.  Adhere the inside layer Basic White to the inside of the card.  Using Pretty Peacock ink, I stamped some leaves on the corners of the Smoky Slate layer, then adhere to the Basic White layer.    See picture below:

Here is another sample using the same layout except the size is A2.   Also, this one was using some retired products (Texture Chic DSP & the Autumn Punch Pack).  I used the Stylish Shapes Circle Die (2nd to the largest) and cut the circle out of Petal Pink, then cut off approx 3/4"  and then adhered it to the pattern DSP layer. 

Please tell me I'm not the only one anxious for FALL 😄  

Petal Park - Layering Leaves Cards

 

I haven't played much with the Petal Park stamp set, so today I thought I would make a few cards after getting some inspiration from Stamp With Amy K.  I cased a card she made, however I made a few tweaks to mine.  

The sentiments come from the Layering Leaves stamp set as well as the leaves on 2 of the  cards using the Bough Punch. 

The Petal Park stamps were stamped on Basic White 4 x 5.25 and then embossed with the Crosshatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D set.  

For the Gorgeous Grape card, I also stamped off once with Fresh Freesia to fill the background of the card using the flower outline stamp. Garden Green was used to stamp the leaf outline.  I used Stampin' Up Write markers to fill in the flowers and leaves (Soft Seafoam, Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath).  The ribbon is retired.

The other 2 cards - card bases made with Basic White Thick and Berry Burst card stock. Flowers were stamped in Berry Burst, then stamped off with the filler stamp using Berry Burst again.  (2nd generation stamping, to achieve the lighter look).  The outline leaves were stamped in Garden Green and Soft Seafoam using the fill in stamp.  The Mossy Meadow ribbon is retired. 

Finished size = A2  (4.25 x 5.50)

Such a beautiful card and very easy to make.  I hope you give it try using the same stamps or whatever you have in your crafty stash!
